Default 2 Passes?

What is all this talk about having to do 2 passes? Is this true on the HM1. I cant belive that I will have to hit print twice on a white shirt. I understand that on black it prints the white first then the CMYK but I hear from others that they have to run 2 passes on there shirts.

depending on the print mode 2 passes could give you a better print. but on a plus side you dont have to hit print twice it will do it for you

sometimes two passes of "color" is needed with the dupont/RH machines to get a very bold color, but most of the time if you have your settings right one pass works just fine for.
Two passes is still needed for dark shirts with an underbase...

Whether the machine is T-Jet, DTG, Flexi-Jet, there are 2 main manufacturers of ink (Dupont and Rohm&Hoss). Sorry is i mangled the spelling of the second one.

with my HM1 I do one layer white medium density and one layer 720 x 720 color and get great prints, if I want the color more vivid I can do 2 layers color or one layer color at 1440 x 720. you dont need to do double passes but sometimes it does make the image more vibrant.
