Default Ink passes through shirt when printing

When I print with 2 passes of color ink on white shirts I notice the ink passes right through the shirt and sometimes right to the other side.

Are there any steps to correct this? I am right now using a teflon sheet inside the shirt or just hooping it around the platen. I have to clean the platen every 10 shirts or so with the hooping method.

I notice this happening on long runs (25-30 shirts 6.1 oz) only.... and mostly on the black ink. The ink in my case is dry by the time I can actually start to see it, and doesn't seem to get on the shirt. I use pallet tape (for screen printers) on the platten and just tear it off and put more on. The techs told me that the ink travels a hundeds of feet per second shooting out of the print head, so the only solution I would suggest is use a more dense shirt or perhaps a larger drop size. If the 2 passes are actually "soaking" the shirt, you may try to back off your settings a bit (1 pass or 2 "lighter" passes) however that works in your software.

Try generating true blacks in the advanced printer settings. This will limit the ink to just K, instead of a process black created from mixing cmyk. The result is lower ink volume.

Try printing with 360e. Are u printing 720x720? that's too much for 2 passes. I find 360e quite good on 1 pass. I use 360x360 when doing 2 passes.(FlexiJet)

I've also been successful with the higher print modes (1440 & 720) by changing the max ink volume from 400 to 200. Sometimes, the 1440 just prints better colors so I cut the amount of ink printed that way.
