Default foam brush to pretreat small area

I have a job printing a very large design on the back of a black t-shirt and a very small design on the front left pocket area of the front of the t-shirt.

The back designs are all finished and cured.

Can I pretreat the smaller design on the front with a foam brush instead of using the wagner sprayer?

Has anyone used a foam brush to pretreat?

Thanks in advance,

Default Re: foam brush to pretreat small area

I have used a brush to pre-treat specific areas and it works. Take care to avoid saturating your fabric too much with the pretreatment as this will cause your underbase to peel after a few washes. That ink has to get through to the shirt and cure well. We have gone to auto paint gun and compressor to apply pretreatment. That really took care of inconsistent coating and wastefullness.

Hope this helps
