Thumbs up New DTG owner

We are rounding out our shop with a DTG Kiosk and will have it in production by the end of April. I will be spending the next few weeks combing thru the forums for the tips and tricks along the way.

We feel real good about this purchase. We can see that those that also have this equipment are all very helpful and willing to provide advice and information without hesitation.

We looked at every DTG printer on the market and not wanting to purchase without the white ink option, we settled on this one because it flat out gave the best prints for the price.

Of course we will have a complete photo documentation on the entire bloody process from getting shipment, to setup, to printing, to banking our first check from the sale of shirts from this beast.

Cheers!

Welcome. My best advice is to set aside a whole round of ink, about 300 shirts, and a couple of weeks to test and learn on. The second best advice is KEEP YOUR MACHINE CLEAN!!

The best advice is without a doubt to keep your DTG rolling daily, so it stays clean, like printzilla said.
Always keep some windex with you and learn the photoshop basics!

DO NOT USE WINDEX!!

Some people get away with it, but several of us have found that after we stopped using windex and just used the cleaning fluid we had a dramatic decrease in head clogs, and capping station issues.

Welcome to the DTG world. I got your PM the other day. Although I don't have the same machine, but I don't mind helping at all (not sure if I'm going to be much of a help though ).

I am sure you have learned things along the way that could help. The 2 machines are very similar.

The only thing different is the RIP software, which is part of the equation to print sucessfully on dark shirts. But hey, it's good to know another local DTG printer. We can outsource to each other, as soon as you're up to speed.

That is what I was thinking. We are also taking delivery of an embroidery machine at the same time. I liked SWF Mesa because they are close by. That was the deciding point for us.

Was SWF offering a bunble package with the kiosk and embroidery machine? Just curious as embroidery has always intrigued me but scared the hell out of me...i hate needles >.<
