I currently manage a screen printing, embroidery, and sign shop that will be closing it's doors due to the owners wanting to retire. They have offered me to buy the business but I have not been able to come up with the investment money I need for the banks to finance me.
So, I'm going to go off and do this on my own. I don't think they'd be willing to sell me the equipment they've been using because they want to sell it as a complete package, so I'm looking at some alternatives.
Being financially challenged I need to do this on a budget and start out small. I have a line-up of suppliers, but I need to get some quality used equipment.
What I plan on buying to start:
4 color 4 station screen printing station
small conveyor dryer
flash dryer
small exposure unit
Inks, screens and squeegees, etc. I'll just buy from one of my suppliers, but it's the larger equipment that has me nervous.
I've been doing some research on ebay and found what looks to be a chinese no-name brand supplier called ASC International, which I've found on the threads has caused more of a stir for it's heat presses than anything else. (link

I'm interested in their printing stations that they have, as for the dollar value, it's pretty good. Is going this route too risky? They seem fairly solidly built, and really is there all that much to a screen printing station anyway? I'd be more wary of their heat presses and vinyl cutters. Should I bite the bullet and get an actual brand like HIX?
I'm located in Saskatchewan, but I'm not afraid of travelling a bit to get some good equipment so if you have any suggestions I would be very appreciative.
