i am a graphic designer wanted to sell tshirts over the summer with my designs on them over the summer. i would really like to sell american apparel shirts and then get them printed myself. when looking at signing up for an american apparel account i am asked for a pst# and a business registration #. as i am planing on just doing this small scale over the summer, i don't have either of these numbers. is there any way i can get an account without them, or are there any ways in which i can get inexpensive american apparel shirts near wholesale price?

Your best bet is to get those things so that you are officially registered as a business.
If you can't do that, you may want to check to see if there are any distributors of American Apparel that will sell to you.
However, the wholesale accounts are for "t-shirt printers", so if you aren't going to be printing the t-shirts yourself, then you would just need to send your designs to a screen printer/DTG printer in your area and *they* will order the blank t-shirts wholesale for you and print your designs on the t-shirts as part of their printing service.
Hi Chris and welcome aboard first off. Second, any wholesalers for the most part will require those number, PST and Business Registration. You can either register yourself or find a local company that can get them in for you.

hi. so its been a month and the school year is over so its time to spend some more time and energy on this. unfortunately i'm not located in montreal, i'm out in vancouver. if there is anyone with some advice here in vancouver as where to print, where to get tshirts from at a good price, or anything else i would love to hear from you with some advice. also, if anyone has any general advice on what kind of printing to use, etc, i would greatly appreciate it. i think we are planing on doing a mid sized to fairly large graphic, probably in one or two colours.
Cash Cow Designs arent local but they are really great, they will give you a good price, take care of buying the tee's, and respect deadlines. They take alot of orders from across canada and even the us. If you give them a call tell them I sent you they will hook you up!
I have tried applying for american apparel, the woman called me to say that they dont usually do business with residential businesses. and sort of declined me.
she told me to show her my website and stuff. so today i called her back to show her my website and she couldnt find my application, she said she will call me back in 2 minutes. its been an hour now and i called her back, but she did not pick up and i got her answering machine.
is she ignoring me?
im also looking for a tshirt company hopefully based in toronto, ontario, canada or nearby with really good quality tshirts.

Prices should be about or below $5 each.
The company should have female cut tshirts.
Location in the GTA would be a plus but is not neccesary.
I have all the neccesary paperwork.
