Default Someone is using my designs to sell shirts on Cafe Press
I just found someone using my exact designs to sell tees on Cafe Press and a few other sites. They didn't bother to change a thing! I sent them an email asking them to remove my design. What else can I do?

Contact Cafepress directly or take legal action sooner rather than later, make sure you can prove they are your designs though.They are plenty of people out there who will try this in the hope that the designer never notice

The sad thing is....I think this is the same person who did this to me before. She was actually a wholesale client of mind that signed up to sell my shirts on her web site. Then someone found my designs under her name on Cafe Press...so I approached her asked her to remove them and that she was no longer a wholesale client. She did...but now it looks like she has these designs under another name...the only reason I can tell it is her or someone associated with her...is that some of the other designs that are on the Cafe Press site are also on her site!

I have sent an email asking her if the "Cafe Press" site is hers....I will also contact Cafe Press!

I swear..some people are so unethical! AUGHHH!

Yahooo...Just received this email from Cafe Press:

Thank you for your March 29, 2009 notification regarding the possible infringement of your rights by a user of our service. In accordance with our Intellectual Property Rights Policy, we have prevented the user from using the images on products for sale through their store.



We appreciate that you contacted us. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.


I am so glad they have my back. I just went to check this person's stores and all of my images are gone.

Anyway, Cafepress have to much to lose to ignore your complaint. They wouldn't be to keen on appearing on 60 Minutes for the wrong reason!

My first thought was maybe this person was an affiliate. But I guess not if CP made them remove your designs. It's good to hear they took action.
