Post CafePress rebrands itself and revamps website

Looks like CafePress got a new look today: CafePress.com

The co-founder of CafePress, Fred Durham, is quoted as saying there's been a "disconnect between our website (very buttoned-down and polished) and who we really are (more fun & friendly)"

It looks like they've actually done something about it.

After having hung out with the CafePress folks at their past Meet and Greet in San Francisco, and having visited their offices a few times in years past, I can attest that the people there are much more friendly and fun than their past website let on.

I'm sure the new look will take a bit of getting used to for those that have been with CafePress for years and have been accustomed to seeing their trademark bright green splashed across the pages.

For fun, here's a link to how cafepress has looked over the years, courtesy of the wayback machine at archive.org:

Here's an interesting video that does a nice job explaining what CafePress is about:

I NEVER complain about CP but this time I have a small complaint. I personally do not like the new revamp. To me it doesn't look professionally done.....the main page. No disrespect to anyone who made the change
BUT, I still LOVE CP and what they have to offer.

Ok, I checked out the link you left and seen all og the other pages- I take it all back. It REALLY looked unprofessional way back when....lol And it a lot better now

I'm not a fan of the new logo (it's a bit hard to read), but the new website has a clean new look. I miss the bright green a bit though...probably just out of nostalgia.

I don't like the new logo either. The new site has some good things and some bad ones...

Cafepress should better concentrate on other things than a new website design

it looks like threadless and other hip(for the moment...tshirt sites) have cut in to their margin... it's a smart move for cafepress to be flexible and adapt...

I think threadless and cafepress cater to two completely different markets.

threadless is a design competition that screen prints the winning t-shirt designs.

cafepress is a print on demand fulfillment place that allows anybody to sell via their marketplace and via their site by just uploading their designs and placing them on products. They use DTG for their garment printing.

I just meant that the site design looks kinda grungy and raw like threadless...

That's true.

But what's funny is that Threadless just rebranded itself too (they kept their logo). They now have 3 sites. One for the main threadless tees, one for the slogan tees and one for the "select" tees.
