Default Cafepress colors?

I recently ordered a shirt from printfection and when it arrived the text wasn't navy blue as I had designed it but sort of a fuzzy dark gray.
I'm wondering if anyone has ordered from Cafepress and if so, had the colors been drastically changed? Thank you.

Aww man that sucks. I haven't used them but I'm sorry to hear about your unfortunate luck. Have you asked them to refund you for $$$.

Thanks for your reply. No, I haven't asked for a refund. Since their sizes seem to be larger than I expected, I decided I'd use it as a sleep shirt. LOL

Besides, it was one of their $2.00 sample shirts & the total was only $6.99 with postage, it would probably cost more than that to return it. Not worth it to me.

Anyone else here have any experience with Cafepress colors?

Anyone know of a viable alternative to these two places? Thank you.

I ordered a print of mine on a dark shirt at cafepress and the colors were not horrible but the print was bad. The The white underbase was not centered properly so half my design had a thick white outline. The colors were not crisp and bright like I meant for them to be. I've heard thought that most customers care more about how fast they get the shirt than how great the print is.

I've ordered several of my own products and the colors were bright and crisp. My family has ordered several things also- mugs, t-shirts, tote bags and cards. The colors were fine on them too. I was especially impressed with the colors on the tote bags and coffee mugs. The colors really stood out. So I have never had a problem with the colors.

Its noty just you,
I just got two of my T shirt designs in the post and they are dreadful. I'm a professional graphic artist, and I'm shocked at the low quality.
The canvas tote bag I ordered is OK. Not great but OK. I'll use it for groceries.

I'm now looking for a new printer. Cafepress is not viable. Who woulnd't return this stuff?

Its not just the colours its very very blurry as well. And I gave them 300 DPI vector graphics.

It Rubbish!

That is why I had to Star making my own and don't even try vista print if you think cafe press is bad. These guys are to big to really worry about quality control. That's my opinion at least.

I just wanted to say I wish I have read this article before. I know this was a 2008 post but an update on cafe press nothing has changed. I too have been using ai and ps and id for a long time. I have given them a 300 dpi vectored graphic. The prints were horrible and I would have to agree who wouldn't return this. The colors were washed out if you look close enough there were noise (grains of white dots on your graphic) everywhere on the print. The edges of black were not sharp. The print looks like someone wore the shirt more then 20 times. I signed up with them for 5 years because it was a promotional offer through wacom that came with the cintiq tablet. I have to say as soon as I ordered my own product I closed the account with them immediately. So if you are as picky as I would be on the final product and print, then don't depend on them to deliver that. Dinky's review was on the money.

On another note to show how sincere I am I created this account on tshirt forums just to give you a feedback on this topic. Also their prices for their shirts made it super hard for you to recieve any good amount of returns in profit. Lack of print sizes and positioning of your images. Again I guess they dont care about quality control. Hope this helps out whoever reads this in the future.
