Default Setting up sections in my new cp store.

I'm trying to keep my cool and set up a cafepress store. I don't know what I'm missing but I must not understand the correct order of adding sections in my store. What I want to do is have my storefront set up like dancethoughts so that people come to my storefront and see sections or categories with the appropriate description.
Then they click on the section that they want to view.
That takes them to a page showing all of the designs available in that section.
Once they decide on the design that they want to purchase, they click, and are shown another page with all of the products availablle to that design.

How do I go about accomplishing this feat?

yeah... CP isnt too user friendly...

i just setup a small store and took me 3hours to figure it out.......

also found out that if you have a basic store then you can only use a style shirt once..... so if i wanted to use a black tee for 3 designs, i cant.......wtf...

so i could only toss up a few designs since the products are really limited....... i like SS better

I was considering SS but it seems like you make more at cafe and the market place is bigger too. Do you make decent money at SS?

i just started at SS... their service is great.... customer service is also great...

good choice of styles/colors

you can see in my store......

once i got the ball rolling it was fine.... a few things such as you had to tag/describe each product ...that took some time...

but once you see the setup..it's fine......

Do you have a link so we can see what you have so far?

It's not as hard as you think it is. But it can be frustrating. I remember being so lost when I opened my first store. All you do is add a section (let's just say kids stuff). You need a thumbnail for that. Once you have that section made, you open that section, click on the tab up top that says "add section". If you have 10 designs, you will need 10 sections. You need a thumbnail for those sections too- I put the design as the thumbnail. You then open each of those sections and then click on add products. You then add all the products that you want that design placed on.
You can look at my stores and see what I am talking about. I am not too good at explaining things but I hope this helped- somewhat.

It helps a lot. First and foremost to know that I'm not the only one that's had trouble starting out. What you've said makes sense, and what you've done with your sites is definitely on the level that I'm aiming for. I'll give it another try tomorrow and see where I can get with it.

Thanks.
