This company would'nt be so bad just to get stared and get your designs out there.
But I know we are going to be big so I really don't think it is worth it!!!
They are fairly pricey!!
Having trouble tring to find a good printing company that Don't cost an arm and a leg??
I have been on cafe press for about a week so I can't say much yet but I do like how the shops are pretty easy to set up.

I have used Cafepress for a number of years, and it is a good way to get your designs out there and sold. It doesn't take long for people to start finding you through search engines. However, they take such a large chunk of the profit that you have to increase the commission to make anything back, then the price is so high nobody wants to buy them. Still, I'm happy when the checks come in the mail! It's surprising what people will buy, it's not always the ones I think will be popular.
Plus I always wished they could send you a sample product to see the quality of what you're selling. I want to get one for myself to see but I'm not paying $20! To me, it's always seemed like they're just taking advantage of designers doing all the work for them...
You sure it doesn't just end up marking the item up more? Say you want $4 instead of $2... so the item goes from $20 to $40?
I've been using CafePress for over 10 years and you've always had the ability to markup the product as much as you like.
For example, their base price for a white American Apparel t-shirt with a full color print on the front is $15.99. You can charge anywhere from $15.99 (no profit) to $30.99+ ($15 profit) and up for that t-shirt...it's up to you.
I do see where it says earn 10% commission on sales on their site, but my guess is that is from their "Marketplace" sales (unless they've seriously changed things)
You can mark up the products as much as you like with CafePress, it's not just 10%
Rodney, since you have used Cafepress for over 10 years, I was wondering if you can recommend some t-shirt forum posts to help me get started. This is one I haven't explored yet, but I do have a lot of designs, so making some extra money by putting them on Cafepress and other similar sites.
Thanks,
Desiree AKA Silverbolt
