I use it without much success. I have one website that presents CP designs via CJ and income is very sporadic. I have not done any full blown push. I have used these designs to compliment my own and fill category gaps. Perhaps there are others who can better explain how they have made it work.

Does anyone use Commission Junction?
I would like to learn more about the cafepress affiliate program, I don't understand it very well.
Yes, I use CommissionJunction quite a bit.
Commission Junction just runs the affiliate program for cafepress.
You signup at commission junction and then apply for the cafepress affiliate program there.
Once accepted, they will give you special links and banners that you can put on your website to send traffic to CafePress.
If a visitor follows your link and buys something at CafePress, you get paid a commission.
Affiliate programs in general really work best when you already have a lot of targeted traffic going to your website. If you don't have a lot of traffic, or you are trying to sell your own products on the same site, it might be a good fit for adding affiliate program links.
Thanks Rodney,
Does anybody have any pages they can show using cj? When I sell something on cp and it says affiliate, does that mean someone else is selling my design.

We don't allow self promotion, which would include posting links to their websites in the forum threads, so they wouldn't be able to post their links here.

Just think of a resource where people are looking to buy t-shirts or information on how to buy a t-shirt, and that would be a good place for t-shirt related affiliate links. If you have the traffic to that resource, it can be worthwhile. If you don't have traffic, just adding affiliate links won't do anything for you.

It doesn't necessarily mean that they were promoting your design specifically. The affiliate could have been sending traffic to the CafePress marketplace and the shopper just picked your design out of the 1000's that are there. It's also possible that the affiliate was marketing just your products. There's no way to know really.
I used to make decent money (read 20 to 40 bucks a month) off the old affiliate program but for some reason using commision junction I have made ZERO dollars since it started I smell a fish in denmark but I cant prove it every time I have tried a "test sale" it has gone through. (I am also a publisher for other CJ customers and do Ok with them just my cafepress sales have gone to zero since they switched to CJ)

Have you redirected your old cafepress affiliate PID to your CJ affiliate PID?
Yeah (although it took me seven months to realize about that because (as I said in a different post) I have been offline for 12 months) the redirect was done 4 months ago. I now get about 20 hits a month (according to cj's reports) I used to get a few hundred according to CafePress' old reports. Of course one of my largest CafePress Affiliate sites has been shut down (because it was incompatable with the CJ Java links) and it was getting me 50 percent of my Cafepress affiliate traffic but still that doesn't account for such a drastic down turn in traffic my other sites were doing well last year and not so good since the shift to CJ.

Being offline for 12 months is going to affect sales drastically in itself, shops can coast a bit but need constant promotion to stay on top.
I don't think CJ affects sales either way, mine have only gone up since the changeover but thats because of more work on my end, I dont see how CJ would have affected anything. Im pretty sure their tracking is solid.
