Thanks for the help Sandy, I took your advise and dropped the prices, I was a bit higher then evryone else. I can always raise them later but we'll see if this helps.

I also wanted to ask: I know everone says typically on the average shirt people are uploading their images as 10X10 from Photo shop. Are you uploading all (clothing images) that size. For example womens t-shirts. Shouldnt the image be smaller?

Andi,

First of all, I like the idea and the basic design of the site. One thing I did notice however is lots of misspelllings and the wrong choice of words i.e. your instead of you're, quite instead of quit etc. I saw those sorts of mistakes sprinkled through every page at which I looked. You really need to get someone to proofread the site for you. I know how it is when you've looked at the same text 500 times. It becomes really hard to see the misspelled words and small mistakes yourself.

Also, one thing that I thought was odd was the text underneath the design. In a couple of places, at least in my browser (IE7) the text that was detailing the slogan cut off in the middle of the slogan. The main one I noticed was "I'll support leaving Iraq when..." I'd recommend figuring out a way to make sure the entire slogan shows. Otherwise it just looks sloppy.

Also, you need to work on the text that you use to introduce the various sections. You haven't yet changed all the text so that the site name is the same all the way through. If the site is now called Military Mind than all the text on the pages should reflect that. You're also going a little whacky with the capitals. Unless you're writing a title, I would only put capitals where they belong in a sentence. Also, as far as the text goes, I get the idea for which you seem to be aiming, that your clothes are both fashionable and patriotic, but I'm not sure you've expressed it as well as you might have done.

I'm a writer, and a marketer, so I tend to be really tough when it comes to the written word on web sites. If you're open to some help in this area, PM me, and I'll give you some suggestions.

I took a look at your site after reading all the blogs. I want you to know I was in the army for 4 years deployed twice and my husband is still in the Army and was deployed 3 times.
I am all for support and cool shirts that make soldiers and families feel better about what is going on. I myself looked for cool wife support shirts to wear at some of the army functions I had to go to.

One thing that hit me was PX. I see it after all your groups and it is an over kill at least for me. I get what your trying to do.

It took me awhile to see you have a history on your site. Why not promoted that up front don't hide it. I know you want your shirts to go but get your history out there too.

Another concern I have is I see on your site you say "We have made a commitment to donate a portion of every sale to an organization that helps our troops" what organization is it. And are they a trusted organization. There are several out here in Fort Lewis were I am at now and one of the organizations said they would help the vets but didn't they kept the money. It was all over the news and the base.

You should tell the customers who you plan to give to.. I think once poeple know they may buy more.

Have you thought about printing on T-shirts that look like camoflage. I saw a baseball hat in the PX on fort leiws in the ACU pattern and a unit crest on it and thought cool if they only had t-shirts like that. I dont know if they make it but I know the old camo is out there.

Just an update on the site,
I am currently working on a face lift/over haul of the site and it's only half done. I am most likely going to make some final changes with my web designer this week so if you take a look right now, please know we are still under construction.

Sandy - As far as the donations go... It was at the top of the site originally and I moved it to the bottom a couple of days ago. While I fully intend to donate (once I make a sale) The orginization I was really intrested in working with and believe very strongly in has actually been very hard to get a hold of and not to willing to actively participate with me. So I am re-evaluating the situation right now. As soon as I clear that portion up beleive me, It will be posted everywhere. I have been looking into camo but that would have to be off cafepress since they don't offer that. As you can imagine, I have many ideas I hope to one day get to the market place. I will be at fort lewis very soon and hope to do some serious market research while I'm there.

For right now I have taken a step back and am concentrating on my business plan so that I can secure and organize my long term plans for my company. I am hoping cafepress can help springboard me into bigger things.

Thanks for all the advice everyone
Keep it comming
Cheers,
Andi
