Erica, it depends on how your code is set up. It should be easy. Do you have a link I can go to to see your code?

There might be another/better way to do this but I also use CafePress for now, and this is what I do:

You need to put a border around the actual image you upload as your section thumbnail, prior to uploading it to CafePress. I'm not sure what program you are using; I use Photoshop for this and all I do is create a 1px box around the image. Then, upload the new .jpg as your section header and it should show up!

Hey Erica, do you mean a border around the printed image or a color border around your web image? If you are refering to a border on your web image, I set my own borders on the web pages using the custom HTML. You seem to be using a template and to my understanding you cannot mix the two. If you use a template, you cannot set any custom HTML parameters.

Here are a couple of my shops showing defined borders:

cafepress.com/gamerstuffstore
cafepress.com/pleasurehorse

Be sure to click on an image and view the section page because I am not fond of how the border looks on the section pages, but I make do with it...

hey TM I mean a border around the printed image just like yours, and I would want when the customer clicks on the image and it takes them to the products that that image would be on that the product would come up with the design only, just like yours . If you tell me how to do It I am sure I can get it done with my limited knowledge of design. A friend of mine did those designs for me.

Ok, so how I did this is by NOT using a template. I "tweaked" the Custom HTML settings. With the two sites I linked you to, I did NO other custom code, I picked colors till I liked them and then added a "logo" in the logo field for the top banner and that is it. The two examples I linked were pretty easy to setup.

Be aware that you will LOSE your custom template settings once you go in and save the first time in the custom HTML page. If all you did was pick a template, it should be very easy to get back if you are not happy with your custom settings. You might have to fuss with it awhile until you are happy.
I recommend a using a website color picker tool that gives you a set of colors to use.

Color picker if you have an image to need a theme around: Color Palette Generator

I cannot find my favorite tool, but here is a page listing a selection of tools:
