Default Cafepress Customers

I'm n the process of setting up a store and I am wondering, when you make a sale on your cp site do you get the customer information? Name and address of the customer and what they purchased?

The reason I ask is I am also going to have my main website where I will be selling other items not available on cp and thought sending a brochure, thank you letter, etc. to the cp customer would be good customer service and a way for them to see my other products in the event that they did not go to the main site.

Thanks!

You get information on what they purchased, you get the city, state they come from and their first and last name.

You don't get their email address or mailing address. This information is considered private since the customer is actually doing a business transaction with CafePress (that's who processes the credit cards, handles the customer service and does the printing).

There won't be a way to send that information to the CP customer.

One way to keep in touch with them is by inviting them to signup for an opt in newsletter.

Thank you Rodney! I know the newsletter is also an option, but I'm glad we get to know who our customers are and what they like, and they may opt not to sign up with the newsletter, so I think this will be a good way to follow up.

Thanks again!
Debra

I have never seen the city listed on my reports. I just get state/province and country. Am I missing information that I could be receiving?

Whoops, my mistake. You're right. It is only the state and country (not the city). I was looking at the CP reports when I posted too. Not sure why I put city there.

Cool, just wanted get all that my $6.95 per month is supposed to get.

BTW, I don't think I've ever spent $6.95 per month so wisely.

I really wish we could get that info too! If you look around the forums at CP, people have been asking for that info for a long time, and we still don't have it. Has something to do with privacy laws.

But the newsletter sign up form is at least something - and people really do sign up for it!
