Default Business Start up

I am interested in starting a screen printing business for some extra income on the side. I am not sure how to even begin to go about this. Can anybody help me and send me in the right direction?

Buy the book "How to Print t-shirts for fun and profit" by Fresner. I'm sure its on Amazon.com

It will give you a great overview on how to get started.

Hope this helps
Andy

As far as the business side of it, register your business and get your legal documents in order.

For the printing side, learn all you can about the craft, buy the equipment you need, and practice, practice practice.

If you're not sure how to make stuff, you can also take a look at YouTube. There are many tutorials which I've found to be quite helpful.

ive been a screen printer for 9 years. make sure you get everything you need to be comfortable. if i could do it I would start with a 4 color manual press and at least a 6 color auto. MHM presses are tanks! the overhead for starting a shop is ridiculous but so much fun. also check out ink mixing systems (Rutland Plastic Technologies: Unique Solutions for Unique Pruducts) it will save you tons of money in the long run. also chromaline makes super amazing emulsion check out the hvz1 series. good luck
