What is needed to get CA License for Internet and Face-to-face Selling
I have been researching a CA license (I have the DBA and Reseller's Permit). I plan on being internet based but have been getting personal request to buy the shirts Face-to-Face (not from the house but elsewhere). I talked with the City regarding selling Face-to-Face (even to family) and they mentioned that I would have to have a Peddling license ($120 a day). Does this sound right? Perhaps I have to go only through the internet as if I have to have a Peddling license to sell to one person, it would kill any profit from selling to one individual.

My advice would be to meet with someone one on one in your local city's chamber of commerce to explain exactly what you're trying to do, where you want to sell, and how you want to do it.
They will be the best one to explain what's required for your area.
The requirements vary from city to city and county to county within CA, and they vary based on exactly where you want to sell.

If you want to just go around the city you may need the peddling license but you should be doing events that you can be a vendor at not just peddling your goods willy nilly. These charge a fee and you just need a resale license. You can get this at your local BOE.

Thanks. I agree - definitely working toward a vendor spot at events. The issue I had was that I meet people that want a shirt and I have to send them to the website - no selling person-to-person. I just received my Business License (and already have a sellers permit).
