Business advice on legal stuff... Hope this isn't a reacquiring thread. I tried doing searches here and looking through.
I know I need a business license. I went to the 1 stop for Ohio and looks like all I need is a name registration for my business. It will be a graphic design / illustration service business. However I worked a production artist and graphic designer for an apparel company that closed it's doors in Dec. 07. First job out of college, so it's like all I know right now.
My plan on making some money is to make designs for shirts towards a certain group or "circle" of people... kinda of like a graphic line. Get the order... take it to a local contract screen printer.
My question is would I need a vendors license for this. Also I won't have the money to fork out up front for the order... and I'm unable to get quotes since I don't have an orders there for unable to provide pricing.
Any way sorry for the long post... would I need a vendors license for such and any ideas on starting would be great. I have stuff up on zazzle.com, but would rather offer shirts at a lower cost.
