This section of the forum is for discussing the business and finance issues of the t-shirt industry. Which business structure to use (sole proprietor, LLC, S Corp, etc), how to handle billing, where to register your business and get the proper licensing, etc.
Okay so I applied online with the New York State website, and am waiting for everything to go through. I'm really not sure if I did it right, but I'm hoping for the best.
Now that (hopefully) I have that all done, do I need any other kind of permits, certificates, etc in order to start selling my T-shirts?
Ok is that just your resale certificate, to buy wholesale? If so, you also need to contact the city where you live to see if there is any business licensing, that you need to have to do business in that particular city. Also I am not sure about new york, but here in California you also need to file your dba, to let them know you are doing business under a certain name, unless you are just doing business under your own name.
