Default product insurance, too much or good?

Hi, so I've been offered $1million of product liability insurance for $1000/year. I'm based in Canada. It covers the US/Canada market. Is this good, or keep looking?
thanks

I'am still suspicious. That sounds like a awfully big premium for not alot of coverage.Have you asked another insurance agency about business insurance with a umbrella policy for the product liability? At least I would. My Father worked for Aetna insurance for some time and I know he would advise me to shop that around as it sounds too high.

Is that U.S or Canadian dollars? What's the exchange rate these days?

$1,000 seems high, especially for the less sue happy Canada.

Here in the states there is a policy called the BOP (business owners policy) that covers retail operations and can usually be purchased for $500 or less. Not sure if you guys have it up there. Our policy down here also covers Canada.

$1000 does seem high.
We pay around $375.00 a year.
We are with American Family if anyone is interested or if it helps in anyway
