Hi everyone, I just want to say hi to everyone and how much I love this site! The information posted on here is great and I'd like to share my story and get some helpful advice if possible.
My husband and I started our little company 2 years ago basically so I could stay home with our 2 kids (at the time my son was 2.5 and I just had my daughter) We have tried to focus on custom sports uniforms and other apparel where customers need their logo etc. We have our own clothing line, so every piece of material that we manufacture comes with our label on it. We have been working with factories in 4 different countries to manufacture pieces for us. I basically design everything here, send all the information I need to the factory, they make it, and send it to me a finished product so I can deliver to my customers. Its been working fairly well for us, the only thing that doesn't work is the time it takes for us to get the merchandise. As you all know many of our customers want their items yesterday.
Sooooo, we've been contemplating buying a heat press and setting up shop with all our other stuff in our basement. Now we've also been wondering about our clothing line, do we still get the factories to make our products as blanks and keep stock? how much stock should we keep? or just order locally.
I would love to hear from all of you on our situation, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
