This section of the forum is for discussing the business and finance issues of the t-shirt industry. Which business structure to use (sole proprietor, LLC, S Corp, etc), how to handle billing, where to register your business and get the proper licensing, etc.
Hey Yall! Everything is going well here.. Started up a myspace page and the requests just came a floodin' (well.. not a floodin.. maybe a seepin'..) in.. Since I dont feel comfortable (for many reasons.. mostly those common sense) want to post my PERSONAL cell phone # all over the internet.. I was wondering.. Do you think a pre-paid cell phone would be viable as a 'business' phone line?
But, if it's just for regular business purposes, I don't think you have much to be worried about.
I've got my business cell phone number all over the internet (RN# database, state incorporation documents, trademark application, etc.), and have never had a problem.
You could try registering a VoIP telephone number, that's what we use at work. Plenty of places offer them for free and use a PAYG model - a heap more professional that using a mobile number.

Just watch out where you put your number; the last thing you want is a bunch of ads and telemarketers trying to convince you to get new windows for your house : )
Skype (voice over phone from your computer) has phone numbers that you can get that people can dial in and call. You can answer and talk while you're at your computer.
Why not just get a phone line that you can transfer out to your cell phone whenever you want.
It's pretty simple to do. I think the phone line would be about $25.00 a month through your local carrier and then when you leave the house, you can transfer it out.
That way your cell phone number is not on any telemarketing lists constantly getting attacked.
