Default Do you "worry" about printing onesies?

I received a request from a customer to print a couple of custom onesies on my GT-541.

I've always been a little worried about making things for young kids and babies.

If a button comes off after I imprint the onesie and it somehow hurts the baby am I liable?

If the ink causes a rash or the baby sucks on it and gets sick? or pees on it and gets a rash?

Or am I just being paranoid? I'm sure we face the same potential problems making things for people of any age.

Thanks,

Dennis

Your paranoia has me worried now ... I have printed plenty of onesies and lots of child clothing and have not worried about this. Any manufacturer defects (buttons coming off, threads coming loose) would be on the the manufacturer and you wouldn't be responsible. Make sure that the shirts/onesies are cured correctly and you should not have to worry about the ink that you are using.

If you are still worried... draw up a short legal disclaimer that explains that you do not take responsibility for manufacturer defects and any damages resulting from those defects.

I have printed a few and never gave it a thought either. I just don't expect there to be a problem that would be my fault I guess.

LLC and business liability insurance and you should be good. Insurance covers your attorneys and any settlements and an LLC prevents them from coming after your personal assets. All of that and a little common sense in making sure you haven't degraded the garment before shipping.
