I recently purchased a Brother GT-541 that is a few yrs old. It prints great except I cannot get fushia, hot pink, red or purple to print accurately. I have tried and tried to get a hot pink on white t-shirts but I cannot get it. I am using adobe photoshop as well as corel. I can't get the correct colors with either one. I would appreciate any help.
I will print out a red chart. I have had vivid on 2 and it hasn't helped. I have been working on graphics that I created in Protoshop with several shades of fushia and hot pink. I do a lot of little girl shirts with pink and REALLY need some good pinks.
I appreciate your help.
not by printer but, use photoshop, go under view/workspace, make sure set to rgb and not cmky workspace
color selector, get hot pink, go to image/hue/saturation, set saturation plus 12 to 20 percent
also do yellow/black mode may help, ink setting to 10
I will go to the shop tomorrow and work on this. Since the printer prints in CMYK that is the setting I have in both Photoshop and corel. I work in both programs but primarily Photoshop. I just wondered why I am setting to RGB. When I open up a new file to work on, do I set it to a CMYK? Thanks again. Pam
Well thanks a lot....the guy I bought the Brother from told me that it prints in CMYK so be sure to create my graphic in CMYK. It looks like that is my BIG problem. Hope it works. I have spent untold hours trying to get hot pink....UGH!

Maybe that is why he sold the Brother to you.
When you are ready for increase prodution on your Brother please take a look at the below links.
Could be the reason. I got the Brother and all of his screen printing supplies for a song. I am learning it all from scratch. I will be screening my first caps next week. Boy it is a lot to learn at once. Thanks for the help.
Brother is awesome machine, you just gotta know a little color management to get her flawless, dont ask me about screen printing but lots of knowledgeable here can be helpful.
I love it EXCEPT for pink, red and purple issues. I can hardly wait to go try it now. Don't be surprised when I call....it is so good to know somebody can help.
I am going to use the silk screen for darks of course. I do think the guy mainly did screen printing. Talk soon...going to watch the Saints game.
