Default 782 is up and running!

Just got our 782. So far so good. Little trouble figuring out the best way to prep art (while keeping ink cost low and still getting nice results) but we are getting there.
Pretreat machine (lawson) that we got I am not overwhelmed with- seems to spray a little irregularly.
Will post up some pics when I get them.

Question Re: 782 is up and running!

Thanks for the report. Can't wait to see pics of some of your first prints.

I saw the Lawson Pretreat machine for the first time at SGIA last week.

Was it relatively easy to setup?

Rodney, the Lawson Select is the unit you saw @ SGIA in action; it was just unveiled @ SGIA and from what i understand is not shipping yet. I believe Kieth is using the Lawson Express, since its been available for much longer. Keith what do you mean the Lawson spray a little irregularly. Did your dealer not properly setup and calibrate the speeds for the required amount?

The express is what we have. Maybe it is operator error but it seems like more pretreat is sprayed at the center of shirt versus a few inches to the right or left.
I must say the machine seems pretty well built and easy to run. Just trying to keep the pretreat cost down if we can (stuff is crazy expensive) and I want a nice even coat. I' fiddle with it today and if I can't get it better will call Nick @ axiom (he set it up and it real knowledgeable).
Today we are trying the same artwork at all the different pretreat settings so we will see how that works.

Definitely keep us posted. It's great that we're starting to see more and more people on the forum getting their 782's and posting. Good luck with working out the pretreatment machine. If you don't mind me asking, what made you decide on the lawson vs. the viper or others out there?

I didnt go with the viper just because my rep told me they had some returns. I do love that the viper will just do a left chest (mine won't- you can only adjust spray length not width). I was going to wait for the new lawson to come out but seems like these things always get delayed and I want to start selling asap.... The lawson I got is pretty durable from everything I hear. Last thing I want is a machine with lots of maintenance. I will say the lawson is fast. Just need to play with it some more. Hopefully we will be cranking so much in a few months that I will need another pretreater and another 782. I have a 541 as well- that thing is great.
