Default GT-542 Pocket Platen question

Hey Guys,

im a newbie to this site and have read loads on the brother GT-541. People seem to offer all sorts of advise with technical aspects of the machine.

I too own one and have come accross a problem myself that i hoping someone can help me with.

I got a client who want me to print on to shirt pockets, I have the 'Pocket platen' but can't seem to see how it can be used. It isn't a straight forward connection like the other platens - has any one used one before? and if so, can you explain to me how to use it maybe with some pics? Also how do I transfer the artwork over to it in order to print directly on that platen as it is really small?

Hope someone can help

I have all the platens from Brother and as far as I know Brother doesn't make a pocket platen,I think you might be thinking that the short sleeve platen is a pocket platen. But we do print on alot of pockets, all we do is put the graphic in the upper right hand corner on the adult size platen on our computer and then take the shirt and put it on the platen so the pocket is on the far left corner with the upper part of the pocket hanging off the platen its very easy and takes no time at all.We also always measure the pocket size because different shirts have different size pockets so that the graphic will fit the pocket. on your computer you should have all the sizes for all the platens so which ever one your using you just click on that size platen and size your graphic to fit it. Hope this helps.
