Does anyone know if there have been any updates or workarounds for the print driver to work on a 64 bit OS yet? Last I heard they were "working on it" This is so frustrating, since I'm running CS4 on 64 bit. You would think that the 782 would have compatible drivers.
I was told the same. From the sounds of it, all Brother resources are being funneled to the 782 debut - if that doesn't have 64 bit drivers I am going to go postal.
Well I just got my 541, the tech temporarily installed it on my laptop, everything was running perfect until I tried installing it on my new Acer with vista 64bit. I was just notified by brother that there is no driver for vista 64 bit. Im not a happy camper, since this is what I was just told last week by my embroidery software people. Brother told me late summer which probably means next year. I'm surprised that they continue to advertise that they support vista when it's actually not true anymore. I'm seriously considering having my tech guru install xp.
It works on Vista 32 bit no problem but I feel your pain. Don't go back to xp. Download the new Windows 7 from the Microsoft site. It's getting great reiews and is free and fully functional until June 2010 I believe. By that time you'll want to buy it anyway.

Vista is crap, end of story Ha.
I rn XP only except on laptop for home use and hate it soo much, the software freezes up, has mind of it own and is really a consumer based thing.
I'd personally recommend wiping out computer and having XP
I have to use an old laptop as well just for the Brother. I think it has been about 6 months and we keep waiting. I wish someone would have told us before we bought a new computer that we needed to stay with the 32, but we had no idea until we had already installed it. Hopefully people reading this now will know not to "upgrade" until a driver is available.
