do you heat press the shirts before printing? Hello to all
We have our own brand of t-shirts ( produced in house), and I have not had any problems with them they are quite thin and ink soaks nicely on the fibers, but we also carry a regular thick quality shirt and sometimes I have to press them 3 times for 40 seconds and ink still doesn't dry, ( to put it bluntly a red heart 6 inches wide will not dry even after 3 passes, if I rub-it with a white cloth it will let go red ink, weirdly enough I have been only having this issue with the red inkset). So I was thinking culd humidity be an issue? It is humid in the store, but I don't know how humidity can outlast 3 presses at 190ēC... help anyone?.
thank's

day 2
Well this is more a monologue than a dialogue, but the more information out there more likely it is to help ( or confuse) someone.
Until today I have been hovering the press over the shirts not actually pressing them ( that I was assured was the way to cure the prints from the gt541) but I have been trying difernet aproaches to solve my "issues" and I guess I DO have to press the shirt and with some pressure aplied on the garment, now there is substantially less runoff.
If someone feels like correcting me, I more than apretiate it.
in another note...PAPER or teflon? what do you use to cover the print in the press?.
thank's
