Default Printing on gloves

Hi,

Has anyone printed on gloves with the GT-541? I am trying to figure out what type of platen would be best to use for this. The gloves have some lycra in them - what would be the best way to cure the ink? Thanks

Jolene

Default Re: Printing on gloves

Hi, I print dark fab or opaque transfers with cutesy pics, using magicflo ink in a epson 1400 from alpha supply on white polyester knit gloves using a round label program and then cut them out. I lay a sleeve printing rubber pad on an old cloths iron press that locks down and set at highest setting, which is cotton. I lay the printed opaque transfers on the gloves which are placed on top of the rubber pad. Then I place cut pieces of parchment paper over the transfer and lock the press down for 1 minut. Then I do a cold peel. This works out well except the transfer does not stretch when putting the glove on and cracks if used with a big hand stretching the glove. Im thinking the jetpro or other stretchable mite work. Just wanted to share this. Thanks.
