For starters I'm sure the back cover has been removed, that's easy enough... it also looks like the platen must be made in such a way that allows you to slide it independently from the 541(platen attachment) itself... but do elaborate or correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm guessing you also have to send "two halves" of the artwork... and the "go/green" button twice...
I have thought of something similar for a different project... keep up the good work!

Re: VIDEO: Print Mammoth T-shirt Designs with the Brother GT541
Why doesnt the printer in the video just send the artwork as one piece? The operator hit the green button twice which means in order to print the full artwork, two prints had to be made and they had to be tied together. Is it the program for the printer that is restricting the printer from printing the design in one shot? Love this printer and all the attchments coming out look great but I think efficiency could be better.

InkS...
I agree it would be more efficient, yet I learned early on and had to accept, IT IS WHAT IT IS....
We also learned, it is quite efficient when you load half1 and half 2 onto a compact flash that the Brother machine accepts. Afterwards we would toggle between memory banks of the flashand work in the following order. Print half-1, Print half-2, Load new shirt then print half-2 then half-1. It was pretty methodical and painless allowing us to fullfill the following...
