We recently did a large amount for us of T's that required a sleeve print. Since we did not have the brother model, we adapted out 541 platen to this job. We cut two different sizes of acrlyic 8.5 and 10.5 inches wide, and the length of the standard platen, screwed down, lowered the platen, and used it to do several hundred shirts with no issues.
The adapter was centered on the platen, and screwed down at the back with flat head screws counter sunk in the acrylic.
Thought this may be of some help to someone else.
Hi, You do NOT have a Brother or Brother sleeve platen? Did you adapt this to a Brother 541? Do you have photos of the adaption and the final print that you could share?

Here are two pictures I took, I still need to get a cover for each of the adapters, and had to adjust platen to lower position to clear, but hey, it worked just fine for me. Cut the white acrlyic on the laser and rounded the corners.
Brilliant, when I had to do a bunch, I heat pressed sleeve for 7 sec. to flaten and made a template of center point with vinyl. was a pain, this idea soo simple haha, I would of never thought of it
I see loss of fingers in my future....... Also when I look at the picture how are you getting the sleeve material under the platen that is screwed on top of the other platen????
ohhhhh I just took a closer look at the picture enlarged and I guess I was thinking before this was for long sleeves which I'm trying to do. Short sleeves I got a cheap platen form direct to shirt. Still in search for a long sleeve which is not $395 from brother!
