Discussion, tips, pictures, reviews and peer to peer support for current and future owners of Belquette manufactured machines, including the MOD-1 DTG machine and the Flexi-Jet set series of printers.
The logistics of overseas sales is somewhat troublesome. Tech support is never as good as straight from the mfg and it can cripple the view of the machine altogether. I would love to say there would never be a problem with a mod1, but I also live in reality.
That being said, I did have this conversation within the past 2 weeks with one of the owners of Belquette. I will discuss it further with them to see what the goal is for overseas sales. Last thing we would want to do is leave anyone behind. Without a trained overseas entity, there is too much possibility of that happening. I know some I've talked to overseas are thinking about buying 2 modules and letting one sit in case one goes bad they could replace the module and send the other back for repair.

Wouldn't that make the Mod-1 an "imported" printer? I thought that was a bad thing? Another thing to note is that it takes a fair amount of work to get a CE certification on these printers, probably not worthwhile without a decent presence in Europe.
All machines are tested prior to shipping from Florida. That doesn't mean that something couldn't go wrong or have a part that while new may not be fully 100%. You can't determine this until it's running for a short period of time. Most of the time it doesn't happen, but sometimes it can.
