[Flexi-Jet Model L] Help - need epson 4800 motherboard asap
I managed to fry my motherboard and need a new one ASAP. I am looking for anyone near the Atlanta area that has one available. It doesn't matter NEW or USED, as long as it works. Doesn't matter what purpose you are using the printer for, I will reprogram it when I get it for my Flexijet. I will come pick it up if you are within decent driving distance of Atlanta metro area. My cell number is 678-523-4197. Please help, I need this ASAP, can't wait to order one Monday.
I am not overly familiar with the 4800 board but what did you blow on it? Have you checked it with a multi-meter? If its a blown fuse you can easily replace it with an exterior fuse holder and fuse soldered into place.
Javier from EquipmentZone got me back up and running once I knew what I needed. Basically got all the parts from radio shack for under 10.00 and took about 5 mins to solder and install the fuse which bypassed the blown one.
What blew on the circuit board? Any ideas??
Whats also nice is if it happens again I can easily swap out the bad fuse for a new one. Good luck, any questions please post up.
I didn't blow anything on it, I actually messed up the V Ram programming of it by doing something really stupid. Everyone I talked to, including an Epson rep, are agreeing that the damage is irreversible.
Well, I had to give a huge order (240 shirts) to a competitor because I wasn't going to make the customer's deadline.
But, alas, I did get the motherboard overnighted from Belquette and the guys there were very helpful. Matt and Brent were genuine in thier willingness to help me get through the problem, as was Dan from DTGInks.
Glad to hear that! I think all three of them truly care that you're up and running. And as one of them would say..."Happy Printing"
