Took the plunge. Got a Flexijet S model- dual cmyk. Got it up and running. How do you get the right colors to print?
What's the best ink set to use?
What's the best resolution to print at? I've been playing with the machine and 360x360 high speed looks good enough to me- I can't really see a difference in print quality with 360 enhanced or 720x720.
I'm going to have a lot of questions.

Congrats on your new printer! The speed / resolution sounds fine, but it will depend on the shirts you are printing on (i.e. different shirts hold the ink better than others). Print the same graphic twice on the same shirt in 360E and 720 x 720 --> then do a wash test. See which one you like the best and then see if you can test market it with some of your customers. In the end, it is all about what the customers are willing to pay for. Best wishes!

Mark

As answered on the other forum, there is not a 360 x 360 fast maybe you meant a 360 fast mode, most users using dual are happy with a 360S single pass but it depends on the graphic that you are using. I also know that printer that you purchased used very well

Congrats on your purchase.

On our Flexi set up Dual CMYK with the DTGInks we print most 100% garments at 360 by 360. We do occasionally use 720 by 720 dual when doing strong spot colors or crisp black text or poly blends without pretreatment.

For super fast we print things like canvas bags at Dual 360 high speed. We can print 90 per hour on that setting. The cure times of different ink sets vary, so if you are using a different ink than me with a 2 min cure time it would require two heat presses to keep up with that speed.
