Default All American Mfg & Supply Inc. customer service standards?

Is it just me or do you find this E mail response a little insulting? .

"Why? There are no reason to do so.
Nothing different between 4800 and 80. except Teflon costing on the bottom of Printhead. Non sense. Yes we can but it does not make sense at all. We will come out with 4880 soon. Thank you

I was considering the purchase of a flexi-jet printer, but if this is the level of customer service I can expect I will have to go with another brand.
Has any body else had good or bad experience with this company?

Honestly, I find that very insulting, you don't say that to a customer, even if the question was stupid. You just don't respond like that IMO.

Well when they run out of the 4800's and still want to continue produciing the Flexi, they sure will have to convert to the 4880.Who knows Epson may have a newer printer by then
I consider the teflon coated printhead a big advantage as well as it's lower price for that printhead, the new cartridge chips are a pain BUT now are available.

Personally, I have no idea what the email says - so I can't say I'm insulted, only corn-fused!

That was my concern I don't want to spend that much on a printer based on a printer that has bean discontinued by the manufacturer. I still want to be able to get parts in a couple of years. Plus I am very familiar with the 4880 and love it's performance.

Most of the parts are the same so you should have a good 10 years to be able to get the parts

Let me add to this:

The 4800 and the 4880 are identical in every way with the exception of:

1: The Teflon coated print head
2: The ink protection level has been encrypted to many more levels.

The only reason for the model change was that Epson had to alter the magenta ink, doing so caused an issue with potential clogging so they coated the head to over come the issue.

The performance between the 2 are identical.
There have been some quirks with the ink protection software that could cause the end user grief on the 4480 platform.

Using the 4800 print engine is still desirable for these applications at this time since it's been put into practice for a few years now.

If there was an appreciable difference between the 2 print engines more energy would be directed toward it.

If your not going to be using Epson vivid M,C then there really is no advantage only potential problems with the ink counters.

So the 4800 will be the preferred print engine until the ink counter systems among other systems within become stable on the 4880.

If this would have bean the type of reply I was given, You probably would not be having this problem. My biggest concern is customer service. On a more positive note It gave me great example to show my customer service reps on how they should never respond to a potential client.

If this is the treatment I get before the sale what can expect after you are paid? I sent a reply to the rep that responded to me and received no response so I posted my experience here.

First impressions are usually the correct one.

Use your better judgement...

This is not the first type of responses people have gotten that seem rude from them.

Maybe it's a language barrier thingy. I do know that such responses are not the first.

Mark at Belquette explained it so much more better.

I agree Mark is very helpful and I was under the assumption that he was the flexi-jet manufacturer. It was his great video of the machine in action that made me even give it a second look.
