Discussion, tips, pictures, reviews and peer to peer support for current and future owners of Belquette manufactured machines, including the MOD-1 DTG machine and the Flexi-Jet set series of printers.
Finally making those last big steps before buying a DTG (After a lot of research!). I have a general good opinion on the Flexi-jet (We will be visiting them soon to watch the machine in action), just wanted to get some more opinions from people who actually own the Flexi-Jet (Light and Dark color opinions, washability and such).
The other I've been trying to find information for is the Anajet. Was wondering if anyone that frequented here owns the machine so that I could get your opinion on it and if any of you were on the East coast so that we could hopefully get a look at this machine as I am to understand that Anajet is in Cali.
But like I said, finding it hard to find some good opinions/reviews on the Anajet, wondering if it's even a competitor in the DTG industry (Although the specs look pretty good, waiting on some samples in the mail.)
Random,
I'm using the Anajet. So far I'm very happy with everything. Personally, I'm still getting used to the White ink thing ( pre-treatment, specific settings) but my customers are very happy. CMYK is a piece of cake. My specific recomendation an any of this new technology is to make sure the vendor will support you. This is why I went with Anajet. They are manufactured 60 miles away from me. Everytime I've called support, I've talked to a main guy, who had good answers for me. If you're right down the street from another vendor I would consider going to them. With the Anajet I was impressed with the closed loop ink delivery system, the prints, and the fact that it's more than a altered wide format paper printer. I don't have first-hand knowlege of any of the other machines other than the samples I got. I'm not in the east, but the guy I originally contacted is based in Boston. I'm sure you could get a hold of him through the Anajet website.
We're going down to a reseller for Anajet close to us hopefully this Friday. I am very excited to see this thing in action. Everyone that I have been in contact with has also been pretty good.
The Dealer is getiing you in the door at 12 but in reality the 15 is more realistic. My Base price was 12,950. The RIP (white printing software) was another grand and I bought a youth board and a few extras. When all was said and done I was at around 15K. And of course there was the Heat press. I bought a 16X16 fron Stahls.
I figured something like that. Ouch on the RIP software cost, it still comes in cheaper than most of the new model printers though. How long have you had your Anajet?
Starting from scratch. We finally got the chance to see the Anajet in action and it was pretty awesome. They didn't have white ink so we're coming back next week to see the white ink process.
If you do some searches on this forum, you will see that there are some pretty strong feelings that the current ChromaBlast system is not "sublimation for cotton". There are rumors that there is a new version of ChromaBlast coming out at the SGIA Show in a couple of weeks.
Chromablast transfer system is interesting...similar to sublimation, but for cotton. Has anyone had durability experience with chromablast?
I thought this thread was about flexi-jet v anajet dtg printers. You might want to start a new thread asking this specific info, you would probably get more replies to that question that way. hope this helps.
i also have an anajet and have been very satisfied with it. it works as designed. if you take good care of it, you'll get solid results. i've heard bad things about the flexijet. you should do a search on the forum to read some info about them. i'm not someone to bad mouth another company, but i think you should be well informed about a purchase this big.
the anajet has the closed ink system which keeps the lines cleaner and prevents them from clogging. the ink costs more...esp if you do white.
the RIP is super easy to use. i have no real complaints about Anajet. so far, so good.
Please do tell, as we take this as practicle feedback and not bashing.
Maybe I can shed some light on the subject.
Thanks
Mark

I'll toss out one of the good things on our Flexi-jet. My husband just printed tote bags on our Flexi L at 360 by 360 dual color, about a 5 by 10 image. He printed 4 per pass, 92 and hour and made about $240 an hour doing it. Sweet. So speed is definitely a positive on the Flexi-jet.
He heat pressed them for 15 or 20 seconds at 375. They are never meant to be washed, but they do wash fine- we tried it- using R & H inks.
