Hi guys,
If you have been chasing after a DTG printer and a Roland printer/cutter, do not waste your time with offers that seems too good to be true from Indonesia.
I was eager to purchase a DTG Viper and Roland SP540 and saw them advertise on a trade website. After enquiries they [multi sellers] all requested that i deposited minimum 25% [US$3000-$5000] to hold unit for me.
I normally have trust in people but things don't seems to add up. I was willing to travel to Indonesia so i asked a few if I can meet them and pay for my machine and take it with me - 4 didn't reply back, 2 still insisted that i put down a deposit and can pick it up then. I thought better and flew to Indonesia and checked out 17 sellers- none existed at the business address including one that advertised in a European business directory.
I managed to get a few good presents to brine home so the trip wasn't a lost.
Hoped this helped anyone !!
You seriously didn't think the Indonesian suppliers were legit did you? It's the biggest source of scam artist on the internet and they prowl the trade websites for gullible victims.
If you want a Viper then you purchase it from DTG's distributor Impression Technology. They developed and built the first models here in Australia so it doesn't make sense for them to sell it from Indonesia!
Any its good to know you didn't put a deposit down. But bit of Googling and research beforehand could have saved you a ticket to Indonesia!
Hi zhenjie
I'd pretty much knew it was a scam but thought what if one of them was genuine, it would only cost me AUS$700 to find out. I was also there to source clothes supplier [didn't save anymore money than from where i'm getting at the momment-just more head aches with customs].
I did buy a DTG Viper from Impression Technology and will be getting it next week. I have been researching a few months on DTG products and hear good things about the Viper. It's also great to know they are an Australian company and they were made in Australia but now in Singapore.
I didn't loose any money but did learn a lesson. If its too good to be true then it is most likely a scam and don't even bother wasting time on it !!
Guys..if you need anyone to trust from Indonesia to check anything before you buy, simply contact me.... every country has scammers... so better protect yourself before blamming anyone...
hahahaha ... sorry to laugh although not really. I was just about to order the plane tickets tomorrow and do exactly that! Jump on a plane and go and buy direct and then be set up with the Roland and the T-Shirt printer for the cost of a roll of vinyl.
yes there are a lot of these scams going around. at last count there were approximately 32 so called dealers in Indonesia alone. I have also seen them in various African countries.

I'm in Jakarta right now, going to Medan tomorrow.
I already spent over 1 thousand pounds ££££, hotels, flights and running around the city to places that never exist. I rang over 27 companies all fake, all scams, incorrect numbers, numbers that don't exist, voicemail boxes... but no real contact.
Now I'm here I'm trying to find a embroidery machine so hopefully i won't waste my time and money completely.
Fingers crossed.

Why oh WHY would you even consider going to Indonesia to buy expensive, highly technical textile printing and embroidery machines? You will learn a hard lesson either way in the end. Get scammed or get a bad machine with no support in your local area.
With all the money you have lost you may as well have invested it in a good locally distributed machine with SUPPORT. Support is the key to these machines.
have you considered leasing a DTG printer? I'm currently looking at leasing options through a mob in Victoria, they have the kiosk and viper etc. well worth a look, if purchasing decent equipment is financially un-viable for yourself.
Well, I'm biting the bullet and buying a refurbed T-Jet 2 from Equipment Zone, organising the deposit as we speak. Even with the import duties and extra fees for this and that, I can't find a better deal in Australia.
So far the blokes there have been more than helpful with information and guidance and they have been very patient with all my stoopid questions.
They say they will have backup with parts and it's been my experience with delivery to get things quicker from the US than from Melbourne. I don't know why, just that that's the way it is.
They sent sample Tees with prints on black and white when I asked for scraps. So far so good
