Hi all
I was thinking about doing a day at glebe markets for anyone that may be in sydney to see if I can sell any of my shirts and to gather feedback and was seeing if anyone else in the same position would like to share a stall. Gives a chance to swap ideas, gather information of each other, and well, would be a good day out. Has anyone out there got any information about which are the best markets in general in sydney regarding clothing etc
Many thanks
Mark
hey you can find it all online... i looked into it last year. its $60 a stall for the day, and they give you a table. but you have to provide your own cover in case of rain etc. if you want two tables i think it was a little more... they do it buy tables and meters. if you need more info hit me up. not sure if prices are still the same as i looked into it last year.
Actually that's were i started, I only sell blank t-shirts no prints at all, for 10$ and yeah i earn big time, then i start jumping into Silk screen / Heat transfer and now im on DTG PRINTS
hope everyone inspire with this.
oh i sell in PAdis market and Flemington Market
Cheers

Hey blaze, for the price of 49.95$ it sounds hard to sell, i would say 30 - 35$ you'll be sweet.
If you are on a westfield / malls 49.95 is fine i would say. for a market place like padis / flemington market the shirts hunter is looking the cheapest they can get unless you have the best quality of shirt's and printed one.
With Glebe market. You can turn up on a saturday at 6am, and go on standby for a casual stall or book a stall depending on availability. It's a hard market though. Mostly vintage and retro stuff. You need to do some research on dif markets and where your stuff might sell. Market shoppers expect a bargain
parklea is bogan-ville. there's a cpl of band rip-off/funny/supercars/3 wolf moon shirt sellers there. Don't think your stuff's gonna sell there esp. at that price.
How about The Rocks or Paddington, anyone have any experience with those markets? I've read that those are a bit more up-market and might be good for a brand that isn't all that cheap, but is a good product.
Cheers,
Steph

hey are a little bit more up-market, but we went to parklea last week and sold about 20 of our tee's for 40 bucks each. we did really well and we will be going back this week.
it really comes down how good your tee's are and whats the price.
if people like it and have the cash they will buy , i also suggest getting some little flyers done as well.
put them in bags when someone buys a tee, pointing them to your website or facebook page ETC.
or just hand them out to people that are walking past, it could also might catch someones eye and they may stop and look at your products,
anywhere i can have a look at your t-shirts, and whats ur pricing?
Well, our site is in my signature. We have 2 more male tees and 5 female tees to add to the site that are currently in production.
They are all Australian made and aren't cheap, run from about $50 to $70 (ex GST) at the moment. That's why I was maybe thinking The Rocks or Paddington.
Cheers,
Steph

i like em man, good job , yh try the rocks an stuff first before going to parklea , with prices like yours it will be hard, BUT you will never know if you dont try, i can only say so much.
you will have no problem making good money dude, i like your tee's
Though, I can't really take the compliments, my partner is the designer, I'm the nerd that runs the online stuff and does research. He's crazy talented and illustrates all of the designs by hand from scratch. Some of the new ones, including the girls are even better then the first round.
We're looking to wholesale, but since we're new want to pound the pavement and get the shirts out to people on the streets and soon as we can. If we decide to give any of the markets a go I'll let people know how we do.
Cheers,
Steph
