Default DTG on Bamboo t-shirts

I did a washing test to a Bamboo t-shirt (6% spandex, 66% Bamboo, 28% organic cotton) that was printed by the DTG technique. I did only one wash in cold water (the shirt was turned up side down). The result was poor - the print cracked. I read in the forum that DTG should work well on Bamboo t-shirt. What can be the reason for that?
