Default Test wash

how do you test wash your prints?

handwash or machine wash? how many washes?

what would be the best on the two?

what type of detergent/soap do you use?

It depends on whether I have used that paint on that fabric before.
If I haven't I put into the wash 72 or more hours after it is painted. following the directions for the material/paint. I dry it and if it is is lighter I will wash it again. I use tide and throw the shirt in with laundry.

I also have old t shirts that I practice on. I heat set the paint and wash wait 24 hours. For that I wash the test spot in the bathroom sink with what ever liquid soap is there.

Hope this helps.
Los

I use a washing machine and I set it by the label on the shirt. Usually regular cycle. If it is dark I wash it with my jeans.
