Default Questions about CMYK process and halftones

Sirs, Good day. I have questions about CMYK process and halftoning effects.

How do you do it? I have a tutorial making it on Adobe Photoshop, but I still don't get what inks I have to use, coz I saw a video on youtube doing this process but he uses RED with his design, I'm kinda confuse. Here's the link for that video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KW0fLlbt5iA

Halftone Effect, What meshcount do I need to use for this? is it possible for #100 mesh to do this?

Thanks sirs in advance. Please Help me, ^_^

thats not red..its magenta..in four color process or cmyk printing you are using cyan, magenta, yellow and black ink..there are special inks use for this king of process for better blending of colors but you can use any transparent color to blend like wetlook..

any mesh count will do for halftones but the size of the dots depends on the mesh..basically the higher the mesh count the better cause it will give you finer details..the lower mesh count the coarse the detail will be cause you are going to use larger dots for the screen to hold..

try using the search function of the forum..there are many topics already posted out there about your questions..try reading them first..it can answer lots of your inquiries before posting another thread.

theoretically any color or shade kaya ng CMYK process. Pero depende rin sa ink mo kasi hindi lahat ng ink pareho ang shade or color ng CMYK nila. Dapat may tamang transparencies ang bawat kulay pero may nagpost na rin dito that they use regular screen printing inks and mix their own CMYK shades. In that case more variables are invloved which may affect the outcome.

Final output also depends on the fabric mo and color. Also a big factor is the white underbase.

To get a clearer picture, tingnan mo mga computer printouts. May pagkaiba ang printout sa white bond, sa cream, sa yellow, etc. Maypagkaiba din sa inkjet paper na mahal at sa photopaper na matte, glossy at satin. Minsan depende rinsa brand ng papel. But to answer your question again, theoretically and generally yes, kuha ang iba't ibang gradients and shades although hindi ganun ka bright ang kulay.

i think mali yata yung pagkakaintindi sa question..
the answer is no, hindi lang cmyk ang pedeng gamitin para makakuha ng gradient..yung ibang process e nakakakuha din ng gradient..pero tinign ko e tinutukoy mo e much simpler design..spot printing e pede din maggradient..kahit 1 color lang pedeng igradient..color separation lang yan..
