Smile [SE ASIA] Tshirt Help!

This is my first post, but i have been lurking around this forum for a while. I'm from Singapore and is looking to see if this Tshirt business is viable for a modest start.

I have came into some "question marks" along the way..

Firstly, i have been to Thailand and has looked around their local scene on Tshirt recently, there are a whole lot of local designers and i am particularly interested in some stuffs.
- Their soft and thin 100% cotton shirts, any idea if i can get samples of blanks from any Thailand(or any suppliers around the region) suppliers? I'm actually also looking for a supplier of 100% organic cotton in the SE Asia region, which has blanks that are "soft and thin".

- Some of their better quality prints like those from error design Tshirts. I'm looking for a GOOD printer, around the SE Asia region. I am not unrealistically looking for a low price quote, but a competitive one. I am looking MORE for quality. It would be ideal if this printer is situated in a country nearer to Singapore.

I'm new to such stuffs and i hope you guys can guide me in the right direction. Like, where is a better place to find suppliers and stuffs.
I really would like to find out much more on suppliers and stuffs in the region.
Thanks!!!

Hmm, actually my quantity hasn't been decided, but looking at our local scene, it's actually quite an expensive place for a Tshirt startup.
That's why i am looking for regional prospects.
Just wondering if there's any places where you guys can direct me to.

Thanks!

The most affortable way to print your your tshirts is using inkjet printer with an industrial heatpress

getting a good heatpress and inkjet printer can go a long way try to avoid Chinese made press if you are intending to use it for a long peroid of time.

making high quality print is possible but lasting quality is another issue in total.

Actually, my concern is to print out good quality prints. I understand that using inkjet printer and heatpressing is economically viable, but i am skeptical of the quality of the product, and if it will have a long lifespan.

So far, i am still sourcing for small printers and good blank Tshirts, but the results has been disappointing.

Hopefully some kind souls will help me out.

And thanks for all the inputs Magneta

arcueid, have you asked the printers in singapore? and what are the prices they quoted for your 50 per design tee?

it might be a good choice to print in singapore because you will avoid import taxes and expensive shipping.

yeah i asked a few, which quoted about $12-$15, but it's really dependent on designs.

Any good local printers to recommend? Actually the foremost priority is the QUALITY, which i think many small printers in singapore lacks. I'm still open to the local scene too, if viable!

and thanks for your replys!

I'm from Texas but am currently working in Banchang, Thailand. A girl that worked for me makes T shirts out of her home in Rayong. I think that they have 5 machines. She knew that I was in the T shirt business in the USA so she brought in (2) T shirts that they made. I was impressed with the hand of the shirt, very soft. Not sure if it would be the quality that you are looking for but they can duplicate any stitching and small quantities would not be a problem. Her brother sells T's at the Jatujak Weekend Market in Bangkok. PM me if you would like to be put in contact with her. They can provide Blanks and maybe printed also.

I bought a few hundred at Chatuchak too this summer (Play and Flow designers). Maybe you can hook me up too with your man/woman at Chatuchak. The stuff over there is great but when it comes to communicating and doing business with the guys overseas it's a different story! It's always good to have some extra options!
