| Re: Anyone From Singapore? hey magenta, well the labels were done locally. im not sure if the ones i got was a steal coz of the quote they gave me but it seems like it is. the label is the woven type and i did a quantity of 2000 pcs (which looks like its gonna last me quite some time, heh) for $0.10 a piece.
oh and i was wondering if u can share some of the types of printing that can be achieved. i was really impressed when i went down to a particular print shop and their prints were done with silkscreen. however its does have a smooth matte finish to it. i didnt manage to ask coz the salesperson was rather unaccommodating. =P so i was hoping if you know the type of silkscreen that was. could be its done on water-based paints to acheive that effect?

was it rough ? additional steps can be done to ensure a smooth feel chemical like chiron or silicone can be added
The water based ink i've used before were "Textile" which is good only on light coloured tee shirts. etc white or beige
Other types of ink includes
1. Rubberise Ink
2. Gold Glitering Inks
3. Glow In Dark Inks
4. Metallic Inks
Silkscreen from naturally good for orders above 100pcs and design less than 4 colours anything less other kinds of printing technology are more cost efficient.

| Re: Anyone From Singapore? hi all, glad to see fellow singaporeans in this great forum!
fadzuli, i was thinking of getting a small cutter, the Graphtec CraftRobo C200-20 to cut on heat tranfer, just that my budget doesnt allow for a heat press...
just to check, can you PM me where you bought your heat transfer medias in SG? and how much?
normal electric iron can be used in place of the heat press?
thanks! | Quote: | | | | |

| Re: Anyone From Singapore? oops i forgot to mention. yes a heatpress is definitely better but im really tight on the budget right now to purchase all the equipments at one go. thats y im outsourcing all my prints. hoping to get some profits before making purchases.
it also gives me the opportunity to test water first and learn as much before i make the plunge. besides my room doesnt have enough space to hold inventory and equipments. coz i think its better to have a factory space to hold everything up. i definitely wouldn't want my room to be a fire hazard or anything with all the shirts and equipment. haha.
