i dont know if this concerns the thread but i was wonderin if there is a pigment cis here in manila for epson 1280 ( or similar entry-level large format model cuz im planning to buy either here or abroad ) to match my 15" contour cutter ( which i havnt bought yet). Thx. My formula would be either:

1. A4 capable printer
2. A4 capable contour plotter
3. 15" x 15" heatpress

OR

1. A3 capable printer
2. A3 capable contour cutter
3. 15" x 15" heatpress

guess the first one is cheaper but the restriction in size of the cutter compromises profit. Might as well get an economically more expensive, bigger cutter so i can do a lot else with it aside for just shirts. thats why im asking about Epson 1280 if it works like c90. THX!

Welcome to the forums, JT. Try Inkfinity (in Gilmore) if they can convert your 1280 to a CIS.

Yes, most laser transfer papers come in A3 or 11x17 size coz they're cheaper than A4 or 8.5x11. As for rolls, or bigger than A3 papers, usually, they are the papers for solvent ink printers like the Roland Versacamm. Of course, sublimation transfer papers are also available in rolls. Here in the Phils, inkjet transfer papers usually comes in A4 or Letter sizes.

dye sub offers superior printing, however, very limited in terms of shirt printing. you can only print on white or light colored polyesters. mydamit has a video of selfcutting paper on his website that uses subli and i think cotton shirt. check that out.

cotton is more comfortable than polyester.

i recently bought from blue corner in ylaya st near corner recto. theres also lifeline. just walk around til you get the right price.

blue corner has baby tees (womens), and regular shirts. 6 ang minimum for wholesale price.

Hi guys!

I'm starting on sublimation printing on t-shirts. I already have my printer with sublimation ink. I use it for mugs. I was wondering about sublimation on t-shirts. I already tried it to transfer images using a sublimation paper, and then heat press it on the t-shirt. The image was transferred, but it is blurred or the quality is not good. Then i tried to increase the temperature of my heat press, same result at the same time it burned the t-shirt.

Anyone of you already tried sublimation, so images can fully transfer on t-shirt? Do you have tips on how to do it? I tried the transfer paper, but it is expensive, for me. It cost me 35 pesos a piece for white transfer paper and I have to go to manila to buy the transfer papers.

Please help po... I'm located here in pampanga by the way.

God bless to all pinoys!!!

What kind of shirt you used? Sublimation in not good for 100% cotton. The self weeding paper can transfer in 100% but limited on design. 50/50 is beter on selfweeding but for regular sublimation paper just used 100% polyster. If you want to experiment try to print in mousepad with your sublimation ink you can see the difference between cotton shirt and the 100% poly(mousepad using 100%poly)

I used the CVC T-shirt. I think it's 60% cotton - 40% polyester. Sir, do you also do sublimation printing on shirts? Tips naman po...

Also, what's the self weeding paper? With your kindness sir, do you know where can I buy these paper?

I'm new on this and I appreciate any help you and all our kababayan could give.

For best results on sublimation printing, RoQ is right, 100% white polyester should be used. Try this on some Nike Drifit shirts, or Adidas climacool drifits.

60/40 shirt is not good for sublimation your result is blurly or faded. Used 100% poly. Selfweeding you can buy in Teestudio in caloocan. But you have limited design for this kind of paper. If you print sublimation remeber to tape it well so that it will not move if it move you will have a shadow effect. Watch some video in youtube it will help you a lot and also type Sublimation to search a thread in this forums. Goodluck sa iyo kabayan
