Default Problem With Anajet Printer

Thought I would repost this under a different heading hoping more people will read it and be able to help me.

The reason I am looking for someone in my area with an Anajet to print for me is banding with Magenta.

Basically I can print anything as long as the design does not have red in it, and of course this design for the order I am trying to get out this week has a red heart in the middle of the design.

I have been having problems for months. Have used more ink in cleaning and not printing.

It seems for the past 6 months all I have done is: used cleaning solution to clear out ink, install ink, head cleaning, head cleaning, nozzle check, ink charge -- repeat, repeat, repeat. I have also put cleaning solution on the pads and let the printhead rest overnight to hopefully clear the clog.

I have had my machine since February of 2008 (acutally have the first model off the assembly line) and didn't have any problems until 6 months ago. I'm sure it is probably a clogged printhead , but what else to do to get it clear is a mystery to me.

Now, it doesn't even let me know when ink is out

Sorry to be so long winded, but I am beyond frustrated.

Hi Kitty, Havn't heard from you in ages. Have you ever changed the head or the capping station? The reason I ask.... is I got mine After you... and I got mine in March '07.

Anyway, One thing you may try is the ink charge in the adjustment program. It could also be that the cap station is no longer sealing properly, or is clogged. I posted an article last week in this forum: No White Ink coming out on some ways to check this and possibly get you going. Good luck

It has been a long time!

I meant to type February of 2007 not 2008.

No, I haven't changed either one.

Thanks for the tutorial. I will give it a try as soon as I can. For now, Justin Walker of Archangel Printing is going to print the shirts for me.

I'm a little surprised that I didn't get a response that anyone is within 20 miles of me. Can't believe I am the only Anajet owner in this area.

Kitty, I'd say you've got some good milage out of both. You need to share your secret... I changed my head after about 23 months. Got the Gen2 head and updated firmware and software and it's printing better than ever.
