Default Follow Up to Post Looking for Someone with an Anajet Printer

I forgot to mention in my original post that I own an Anajet printer and am having problems.

I have a job I have to get done within the next few days and can't get them done on my printer.

Thanks.

Banding with Magenta. Basically I can print anything as long as the design does not have red in it, and of course this design has a red heart in the middle of the design.

I have been having problems for months. Have used more ink in cleaning and not printing.

It seems for the past 6 months all I have done is: used cleaning solution to clear out ink, install ink, head cleaning, head cleaning, ink charge -- repeat, repeat, repeat.

Now, it doesn't even let me know when ink is out.

I have had my machine since February of 2008 (acutally have the first model off the assembly line) and didn't have any problems until 6 months ago. I'm sure it is probably a clogged printhead , but what else to do to get it clear, is a mystery to me.

Sorry to be so long winded, but I am beyond frustrated.

Thanks.

What are your settings? we had this issue. also and found that there is an issue with quality settings. both have to be on speed or fine or superfine. cant mix it. also try an alignmen fix.

Alex, they just released a fix for the new RIP. You would get errors printing white in one resolution and the CMYK in another. Also the EKS file will now save the speed setting of a particular job. If it's not posted in the techsupport site, you should be able to call them and have them give you download info.

Oh man, I feel for you, Mine was off the January/Feb line to and was a complete lemon
Broke down in 2 weeks : ) Then they try wanted me to send backto them and I told them to talk to waste management and my lease company because 2 things would occur shortly.
Reluctantly, they sent me new machine and that was a lemon as well , supposedly it was off a line with faulty screens, bad chips and to top it off, I got bad ink.

It aint gonna get better, and there new machine sucks too because I talked to nice lady about hers and all she could say was say it had clogs, terrible customer service ect.

As for banding, humidity may be issue, bad head, but most likely humidity : )

A for ink cart. not telling you its out, you can thank cheap workmen ship on Anajet end for that one, as they do not degas there cart. properly.
Did you get extended warranty? because they would be obligated to fix it at that point

If you have had the machine for 18 months and not replaced the printhead, it is probably time to do so. If you were to weigh in the costs of wasted ink and time versus the cost of a replacement head, you would probably find that the head is cheaper. It is not uncommon to get 6-12 months of life out of a direct to garment printer head, so 18-19 months is good.
