HELP! I have a design that was to be printed on white shirts and at the last minute the customer changed to navy blue shirts. The design is to have a chrome look. It fades from gray to silver. It worked fine on white but I am having trouble getting the settings right on the anajet to look good on navy. Any suggestions?
I would try a medium 2 or 3 on the white. content based, .60 contrast. Your choke will depend on the resolution...try 6 or 8. On the color layer, I would use Medium 1. You do not need as much CMYK on top of white. If you are using the new RIP (2.9 or 3.0), I would try the superfine on the white. It takes a little longer, but the white really pops and gives it more time to gel. If you tweak the settings. make sure you save info in your EKS or EKT templates for future reference.

I have the same question for an HM-1 with ripPRO...I am having trouble getting bright prints.
John, is the problem with the white underbase or just certain target colors? One of the issues that come up with all machines is that you have to understand that you are printing CMYK ond not spot colors. If you can print a spectrum swatch from an RGB source and make that look good...the pick from that pallette to reproduce "reproducable colors" that's all you can do. Playing with settings such as saturation and contrast will usually improve the visual impact of the design, but with certain memory colors (food, skintones, etc you can overdo it.
