Sounds like you don't... ICC profiling is what I am talking about where someone profiles inks to put down correct amount of ink on substrate which requires and spectrometer ...
Also is used to get spot on colors, if his colors are outta wack I doubt it is because he is using CMKY and most programs run on an srgb color gamut.
Last time I talked to Anajet, they quote on quote said, there printer is not profiled for t shirts, they just played a guessing game of, I hope this works
If you are printing from PS or AI or even Corel then you can print to a destination profile. ICC profiles are not rocket science, they are a simple database of colour vs CMYK combinations.
You may wanna calibrate/profile your monitor...
Monitors tends to makes things brighter with high contrast ratio which is great for movies ect. but not good for working in color managed atmosphere .
Screen calibration device is about 200 bux, another thing to is helpful to get predictable colors is, printing a pantone color chart
