Hello peoples. I have been seriously considering setting up shop in Taiwan and starting a printing service. I've gone and done some research on almost all of the DTG printers and I always come back to the Anajet printers. I love how the printer, itself, is compact and doesn't take up too much space.
Fast forwarding through my master plan...Lets say I ship my Anajet printer back to Taiwan, and I set up shop. Then I run into a problem and I need to replace some parts. What would be the fastest way to receive these replacement parts? I checked the nearest Asia Reseller, and they are based out in Tokyo.
Well along with your shipping of the printer I would send along:
A Extra encoder strip
A Extra Print Head
A Extra Wiper Blade
A Extra Capping Station
The amount of the above would depend on how deep your pockets are
Now for ink , that would be your biggest chalenge and I would not ship that with the printer just to be safe, I would also look at the electrial requirement at the new location.

I think there's a local distributor of Kornit and Mimaki in Taiwan. Have you consider them also?
Thanks for the heads up. I didnt really look into Kornit, maintly because of how expensive the printers are. Budget-wise, I'm looking at spending around 10-15G. So I'm pretty fixed on Anajet. I will go back to LA in a few months to check out Anajet over in Costa Mesa to check things out firsthand.

Yea I was thinking I would probably have to buy extra parts just in case. The ink, I would probably have to stock up and make sure I have enough in stock each month.
Hi Naga, I wasn't aware there were any taiwan made machines. I know kornit has an office out here, but kornit is a bit out of my price range. I know china produces cheap machines, but i'm definitely not considering buying anything from china; especially a dtg printer.
Some of Eastech's printers are sold (represented) in US, but not the DTG models.
The DTG printers have a build-in fuser, but It's not strong enough to fuse the inks completely, according to a review I saw.
The inks they sell looks like being Chinese.
Their sales office in Bangkok is very close to where I live. Maybe I will visit them some day, though I will personally rather start up with screen printing.
I have bought 3 DTG printers from China plus the ink that the company sells and have had no problems. I think those who say these Chinese machines are bad don't know what they are talking about. You can save thousands of dollars or pay through the nose dealing with these American companies. maybe in the past they were not very good but now they are better and cheaper than many made in USA.
Maybe the fact I live in Taiwan and can speak and read Chinese is a plus dealing with anyone in Taiwan and China. Being an American the Chinese respect that you took the time to learn their language and have been very helpful in my business here. Also having a Taiwanese wife doesn't hurt either.

I agree....I heard somebody with Chinese made printer being a big successful. Some people don't know Chinese printers, just put some words from their imagination. Where did you get your printers?
I purchased them in Wuhan, China. Wuhan is considered the Technical headquarters area in China. Look, I doubt many people in the USA have ever heard of Wuhan, China even though it is bigger than New York City. China has been islated so long most American only believe what they read in the press which is stupid. I went to a convention their to look initally at laser machines that imprinted inside crystal. While their I saw these machines. They had many models, they did white and black tees, and they supplied the ink. They sent me samples of t-shirts as well as beach towels that these machines would do. The printing was very good and the price was 4-5 times cheaper than these so called great American made machines. They are quite a few brands and many are different for different reasons but your best bet if you are interested in buying one is to go to www.alibaba.com and put in search for direct to garment printers and send them as e-mail. Tell them were you live and they will give you a price delivered door to door.
Since I live in Taiwan it was an easy choice for me that made the purchase easy. The only downside I could see would be warranty issues but just ask them who services their machines in USA when you send the e-mail.
