Default Older CMYK ink

I just picked up 500cc of fastink2 black and its from 2007
is it junk. I was thinking I can run it threw a damper to filter it
what say you

That ink should have a 2 year shelf life from the sate it was manufactured.

I would suggest not using it. FastINK 3 was introduced more than 1 1/2 years ago and replaced FastINK 2 so chances are the FastINK 2 ink you have is quite old.

I have used older ink and it works fine, its the equipment that hates it, but a filter won't clean it?

I'm never against saving some money, but why risk a $15,000 machine with some old ink?

well if there going to use the t-shirts for a walk or some onetime thing and the ink still prints fine '
just like to know why its bad if its older ink '
